Kevin Duecker >>> director of children's ministries

Kevin Duecker is a proud Ohio-native who has made Indiana his home since 2005, when he started attending Indiana Wesleyan University. After graduating in 2010 with an education degree, he began serving in his role as Director of Children's Ministries at Pierce Church in 2012. He oversees the direction of various programs and ministries at the church. He is married to Kate and they have 3 beautiful girls: Kendall, Keira, and Kassidy. He enjoys playing guitar and catching the latest podcasts.

Dana Alford >>> teacher

Ms. Dana Alford lives in Upland and is mother to Kenny and Kristopher. She loves to engage kids in fun math and science activities, as well as incorporating American Sign Language (ASL). Dana has become known to decorate her classroom in zealously creative ways that cause her students to gasp with delight and amusement. Her favorite animal is penguins and she loves listening to K-LOVE radio.

Anne Schmerber>>> teacher

Ms. Anne Schmerber lives in Marion and has daughters Ava and Mya. Anne leads crafts with the students, helping them with motor skill development along the way, such as cutting with scissors and coloring inside the lines. She loves being creative with her own daughters and carries over her creative expression with children at Kiddie Kampus. Anne is also a part of the children’s ministry team at Pierce Church.

Advisory Committee

Kiddie Kampus is guided by an Advisory Committee of local professionals and community influencers. This committee meets bi-monthly, year-round to guide the program through major decisions, fundraising, support, and accountability to the highest expectations. These advisory members include:
  • Sarah Sparks, Kindergarten teacher at Eastbrook South Elementary
  • Julie White, 1st grade teacher at Eastbrook South Elementary
  • Chelsee Jones, 1st grade teacher at Eastbrook South Elementary
  • Nate Chu, Assistant Director of Admissions at Taylor University
  • Rachel Aupperle, free-lance artist and secretary to advisory committee
